Welcome to KNSK

We are the official chess federation of Greenland, founded in 2014 to promote and develop the game of chess throughout Greenland.

On September 24, 2024, Kalaallit Nunaanni Skakkertut Kattuffiat was unanimously admitted as a full associated member of FIDE (World Chess Federation) during the federation’s 100th anniversary congress in Budapest.

We actively work to organize tournaments, train coaches and arbiters, build chess clubs across Greenland, and represent our country internationally.
